Harley-Davidson UK e-zine

Welcome

Welcome to the July issue of the Harley-Davidson e-Zine.

This is always an exciting month for us with the launch of our new bikes and Model-Year 11 is no different.

We have the new Sportster® SuperLow™, the returning Softail® Deluxe and Electra Glide® Classic and four 2011 CVOs. We also have engine upgrades on the Touring range and ABS as standard on most Softail machines. Click here for an overview of the new motorcycles and upgrades that will be available.

New colours add an interesting dynamic to some of the existing motorcycles, including a White Hot Denim introduced on the XR1200X™ and VRCSCF V-Rod Muscle™ and Cool Blue Pearl for the XL1200N Nighster® and the FXDF Dyna® Fat Bob® to highlight just a few.

If you're looking to try any Harley-Davidson® motorcycle out for size, the online booking engine is available now and all year round on the Harley-Davidson website. Simply choose your road, and the Harley® that's right for you.

And don’t forget your Harley-Daivdson MotorClothes® to look good both on and off the road. However, you may need to be quick! Our new range of fashionwear – which will be exclusively available in Harley-Davidson dealers from August – got the thumbs up from a host of young celebrities this month at the famous T in the Park festival. Click here to find out more.

For the more safety conscious, the new MotorClothes® Illumination range of products have been developed – bringing both high visibility and safety together in a package. With ‘360° Enhanced Visibility’ – the latest generation of reflectivity from 3M™ Scotchlite™ – you can be five times more visible than in regular riding gear. This is exclusive to Harley-Davidson MotorClothes® in the motorsports industry and we’ve made the most of it, designing a complete outfit for both men and women in a range of stylish jackets, gloves and trousers. Visit your nearest authorised Harley-Davidson dealer for more information.

See you on the road,

Ignacio isusi

Harley-Davidson Insurance Services* wants to make sure you are fully aware of one of the key benefits of their HARLEY | RIDER INSURANCE™ scheme, particularly for the many owners who have made extensive modifications to their Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.

Harley-Davidson Insurance Services have always believed that the premium you pay should accurately reflect the value of the actual bike insured. The “Agreed Value” system was introduced to enable you to get a proper, professional valuation of your bike, quickly and easily, and absolutely for free.

Armed with that valuation you are then guaranteed to pay a premium calculated on an accurate assessment of your bike and your bike alone – with cover that insures you for its full and real value.

Here’s how the HARLEY | RIDER INSURANCE™ “Agreed Value” scheme works:

When you take out your insurance policy based upon your own estimated valuation, you will receive a single page agreed value form along with your policy documents. This agreed value form asks you to answer a few simple questions about your motorcycle’s age and modifications. You need to complete this form and nip down to your local Authorised Harley-Davidson® dealer who will give your bike the once over, confirm its value and validate this form for you. Return the validated form and your bike will be insured for that agreed value and if that’s different from the previously insured sum, we’ll let you know if your premium needs adjusting. It could well save you money and will certainly give you peace of mind that your bike is properly insured.

This scheme is designed to ensure you and your Harley-Davidson motorcycle are not treated just like any other rider or motorcycle. Should your bike be stolen or written off you’ll not simply receive a market value – you’ll get just what your bike is worth. It’s therefore important that if your bike is anything other than a standard, modern showroom model you secure an agreed value. Remember, it’s up to you to complete and return the form; otherwise your policy will remain based upon your bike’s market value.

If you have any queries on our Agreed Value scheme just call Harley-Davidson Insurance Services* on 0800 093 5934.

HARLEY | RIDER INSURANCE™ is arranged and administered by Harley-Davidson Insurance Services and issued and underwritten by Groupama Insurance Company Limited.
